For those of us with well water, the minerals and hardness of the water can build up residue in the filter and block the flow of water into one’s washing machine. Allowing the water to trickle for any length of time increases your electric bill and is extremely time consuming to do one wash.
Simple trick and good for the environment: once a week add 2 tablespoons of baking soda into the washing machine water-a bonus- brighter clothes!
